Signs this switch may need replacing include no crank in Park but a crank in Neutral (or the reverse), a no-crank condition that changes as the shifter moves, or cranking with the selector in a drive gear. A weak battery, starter or ignition switch can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the cause first. If the neutral safety switch has failed, the NS-115 replaces it.
