It is designed to signal the PCM whenever hydraulic pressure in the power steering system climbs above its normal operating level. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2006-2014 Ford Mustang, 2008-2009 Ford Taurus and 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications.
