Standard Ignition Vapor Canister P/N:CP3466
Keep evaporative emissions in check with the Standard Ignition Vapor Canister CP3274. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications — the 2008-2014 Scion xD (L4-1.8L) and the 2006-2012 Toyota Yaris (L4-1.5L).
The vapor canister is the storage heart of the EVAP system: it holds fuel vapors that build up in the fuel tank in a bed of activated charcoal, trapping them instead of letting them vent to the atmosphere. When engine conditions are right, the purge valve draws those stored vapors out of the canister and into the intake so they can be burned during normal combustion.
If a saturated or cracked canister is the source of your EVAP trouble, this unit replaces it.
Interchange: Manufacturer part number CP3274.
What does the CP3274 vapor canister do?
It stores fuel vapors from the fuel tank in activated charcoal, then lets the purge system draw them into the engine intake to be burned rather than vented to the atmosphere.
What vehicles does the CP3274 fit?
It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2008-2014 Scion xD (L4-1.8L) and the 2006-2012 Toyota Yaris (L4-1.5L). See the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm your vehicle.
What are signs my vapor canister may need replacing?
A fuel-vapor odor or an evaporative-emissions fault code can point to the canister. Because a purge valve, vent valve, or hose can cause the same symptoms, diagnose the cause before replacing.
Will replacing this canister clear my check engine light?
Only if a failed canister is the actual cause. EVAP codes have several possible sources, so confirm the diagnosis before assuming the canister is at fault.
How many canisters do these vehicles use?
The listed Scion xD and Toyota Yaris applications each use one, and this listing is for a single canister.
