Standard Ignition Voltage Regulator P/N:VR-515
Standard Ignition VR-498 voltage regulator for the 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.4L, the 1995-1996 Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.7L, the 1997-2004 Tacoma V6 3.4L, the 2000-2004 Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.4L or 2.7L and other vehicles controls the voltage the charging system sends to the battery and the rest of the electrical system.
A failing voltage regulator can show up as a battery warning light, dim or flickering lights, or a battery that stays low or gets overcharged. Similar symptoms can trace back to the battery, wiring or drive belt, so with the engine off and cool, begin by looking over the connector and terminals for corrosion, cracks or a loose fit. A shop can test charging output. If the regulator is the cause, this one replaces it.
The vehicles it fits include the Tacoma runs above, the 1993-1997 Toyota Corolla 4-cylinder 1.6L and the 1993-2002 Corolla 4-cylinder 1.8L, and the 1993 Toyota Camry V6 3.0L and the 1993-2001 Camry 4-cylinder 2.2L. The 1993-2001 Camry 4-cylinder 2.2L takes a single regulator. Driving something else? Look up your car in the "Vehicles it fits" section before you order.
