Standard Ignition Windshield Wiper Switch P/N:WP-451
When the windshield wipers stop responding and a failed switch is the cause, this Standard Ignition switch, the WP-261 Windshield Wiper Switch, is designed to replace it. It is a direct-fit OE-replacement for the 2000-2004 Subaru Legacy, 2000-2004 Subaru Outback and 2002-2004 Subaru Impreza, and it takes over the job of controlling the wiper system.
The wiper switch passes the driver's selection to the wiper system, telling it when to run and at which setting. Signs this part may need replacing include:
Diagnose the circuit before replacing anything, because a wiring, fuse or motor fault can cause similar symptoms. The same WP-261 serves as the replacement switch for the 2000-2004 Subaru Legacy and also covers the 2000-2004 Subaru Outback and 2002-2004 Subaru Impreza.
