ThunderSpark Distributor Cap P/N:925-1013
Keep spark firing to the right cylinder with the ThunderSpark Distributor Cap 925-1009, an OE-replacement cap for conventional distributor-based ignition systems. It's a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of 1980s–1990s GM, Jeep and Isuzu applications, including the 1982-1984 Chevrolet Camaro, 1982-1984 Pontiac Firebird, 1982-1993 Chevrolet S10, 1982-1990 GMC S15, 1984-1986 Jeep Cherokee and 1991-1994 Isuzu Pickup — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
Inside the distributor, the cap channels high-voltage current from the coil to each spark plug through the rotor and internal terminals. Over time caps can develop carbon tracking, cracking, or corrosion; signs it may need replacing include misfires, hard starting, and drivability issues. If a worn or cracked cap is the cause of those symptoms, this unit replaces it and restores the spark path.
