ThunderSpark Distributor Cap P/N:925-1013
Keep spark reaching the right cylinder with the ThunderSpark Distributor Cap 925-1053, an OE-replacement cap for conventional distributor-based ignition systems. It's a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2005 Chrysler Sebring, 2001-2005 Dodge Stratus, 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and 1999-2003 Mitsubishi Galant — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment. The cap directs high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the appropriate spark plug through the rotor and its internal terminals. Over time, distributor caps can develop carbon tracking, cracking, or corrosion, which may lead to misfires, hard starting, and drivability issues.
If a cracked or worn cap is the cause of misfires or hard starts, this replaces it as part of a tune-up or ignition repair.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
What does the distributor cap do?
It directs high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the appropriate spark plug through the rotor and the cap's internal terminals, supporting the engine's proper firing order.
What vehicles does the 925-1053 fit?
It's a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2005 Chrysler Sebring, 2001-2005 Dodge Stratus, 2000-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse, and 1999-2003 Mitsubishi Galant. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment.
What are signs the distributor cap may need replacing?
Carbon tracking, cracking, or corrosion on the cap can lead to misfires, hard starting, and general drivability issues. Diagnose the cause before replacing.
Is this an OE-replacement cap?
Yes. It's made to meet OE specifications for terminal alignment, dielectric strength, and conductive-path precision, and is designed to fit the original distributor housing.
What materials is the cap made from?
It's constructed with high-dielectric, heat-resistant compounds designed to withstand high voltage, thermal cycling, and engine vibration.
