TrakMotive Drive Shaft Assembly P/N:FDP-133
TrakMotive FDP-009 front drive shaft for the 1998-2005 Ford Ranger and other vehicles carries drive torque to the front axle. This is a new part.
A clunk when taking off or shifting, vibration at speed, or grease thrown from a joint can mean the shaft or its joints are worn. These signs alone do not prove this shaft is the problem, since a worn wheel bearing can cause similar vibration. The front axle takes one drive shaft.
The vehicles it fits also include the 1997-2001 Ford Explorer and the 1998-2009 Mazda B4000.
