Signs this part may need replacing: A clogged or restricted transmission filter may contribute to delayed or harsh shifts, slipping, or a whining noise. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the transmission first. If the filter is the cause, this kit replaces it. Transmission filters are also commonly replaced during a transmission fluid service.
