Quiet driveline shudder and keep your gearbox properly located with the Anchor Transmission Mount 2388, a rear transmission mount (also listed as a manual transmission mount) that helps support and locate the transmission while isolating its vibration from the chassis. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1979-1993 Ford Mustang, 1980-1984 Ford Thunderbird and 1978-1983 Ford Fairmont. Supports and isolates: cushions the transmission and dampens vibration to limit movement and noise reaching the cabin.
OE-standard engineering: engineered to OE standards using a CAD/CAM process for consistent quality.
Durable rubber: natural and Styrene Butadiene rubber that resists wear and stays stable as it ages for long service life.
Strong bond: a Chemlock® bonding agent creates a superior rubber-to-metal bond, and the rubber is tuned to a specific Durometer (hardness) based on the vehicle application. Any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade 5 bolts.

Signs the original mount may need replacing include a clunk on acceleration, deceleration, or shifting, vibration at idle, and cracked or separated rubber. If a worn rear transmission mount is the cause, this replaces it.
