A shock controls spring movement so the tires stay settled over bumps. Signs a shock may need replacing include excessive bouncing after bumps, body sway, fluid leaking from the body, and uneven tire wear. Other suspension parts can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing. For best results, Arnott recommends replacing shocks in pairs, so plan to fit this left-side unit together with the matching right-side shock. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of models.
