Front Brake Pad for 2000-2005 Volkswagen Jetta & More - Bosch BP687A

Designed to reduce brake noise and vibration, the Bosch brake pad BP687A from the QuietCast line is a front disc brake pad set. It fits many vehicles as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, among them the 2000-2005 Volkswagen Jetta, 2000-2006 Volkswagen Golf and 2000-2010 Volkswagen Beetle.

Bosch's patented copper-free friction formula uses an advanced aerospace alloy and complies with 2025 Copper Free legislation. Bosch engineers formulated and tested the QuietCast friction material, which draws on Bosch's OE braking heritage dating back to 1927. A protective transfer layer is designed to help extend pad and rotor life.

• OE-style rubber core shim: Pre-attached multilayer shims bond rubber and steel. They are designed for lower noise, added strength and corrosion resistance.
• PTFE- and rubber-coated hardware: Helps reduce vibration and noise and keeps the pads from binding to the caliper.
• Powder-coated backing plate: Helps prevent rust and corrosion.
• Synthetic lubricant included: Supplied in all applications to help reduce resistance on the sliding contact points.

Front pads may need replacing if you notice squealing or grinding when braking, longer stopping distances, or friction material worn thin. Diagnose the cause first. If worn pads are responsible, this set replaces them, and it is a good time to inspect the rotors and calipers.
