CARDONE Reman Transfer Case Motor P/N:48-207
The A1 CARDONE transfer case motor 48-101 is a remanufactured electronic shift motor that drives the transfer case between its drive ranges. It is built as a direct replacement for a failed original. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer, the 2002-2009 GMC Envoy and the 2002-2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
This is a remanufactured original equipment unit, designed to meet or exceed O.E. performance. CARDONE uses reverse engineering to learn how and why the original unit failed, so its engineers can identify and correct original design weaknesses.
Specs: one rectangular female connector with seven male blade terminals, on an included 349.25 mm wiring harness. The motor has four mounting holes. Mounting hardware is not included. The box contains the transfer case motor and an instruction sheet. Country of origin: Mexico.
Signs a transfer case motor may need replacing include a transfer case that will not shift, or 4WD that stops working. Check for trouble codes first. If the motor tries to shift but sounds weak, CARDONE advises checking the front axle lock actuator: the motor cannot complete its engagement if the axle lock does not engage.

Will this motor work with my 2004 Trailblazer transfer case, from the 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer?
Yes. The 48-101 is listed for the 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer with all engines, and each vehicle uses one motor. The Buyer's Guide tab shows every listed application.
What position should the transfer case be in before I install the motor?
Shift the transfer case by hand into two-wheel drive at the shift shaft before installing. The replacement motor's drive is factory-set in the 2WD position, and a crescent wrench can be used for the shift.
Can I run the motor on the bench to test it?
No. Running the motor while it is off the transfer case can damage it. It can also set an error code that must be cleared before the motor will operate again.
What comes in the box?
The remanufactured transfer case motor, with a 349.25 mm wiring harness, and an instruction sheet. Mounting hardware is not included.
My Service 4WD light is on. Will a replacement motor fix it?
Not necessarily. The light and an inoperative 4WD may come from a transfer case control module calibration issue. Check for trouble codes and for any OE software update first.
