Description

Tame engine shake and keep the powertrain planted with the Anchor Engine Mount 8181, a front engine mount that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1989-1992 Geo Prizm and 1988-1992 Toyota Corolla (see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full engine breakdown). It helps support and locate the powertrain while its rubber isolates vibration and limits engine movement.

Supports and dampens: cushions the engine and absorbs vibration to help keep it from reaching the chassis.
Engineered to OE standards: designed using a CAD/CAM engineering process for consistent quality.
Purpose-built rubber: uses natural and Styrene Butadiene rubber that resists wear and stays stable as it ages, with the durometer (hardness) set to the vehicle application.
Chemlock® bond: a Chemlock® bonding agent creates a strong rubber-to-metal bond; any included fasteners are hardened steel with heat-treated Grade 5 bolts.

Signs this front mount may need replacing include a clunk on acceleration, deceleration or shifting, vibration felt at idle, and cracked or separated rubber. If a worn mount is the cause, replacing it with 8181 restores proper isolation and location.
