Keep moisture and debris from circulating through your A/C loop with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Desiccant Element 83057, a filter-drier desiccant cartridge kit supplied with its plug. It's a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of BMW applications, including the 2004-2007 525i, 2004-2007 530i, 2006-2010 550i, 2002-2005 745i/745Li, 2006-2009 750i/750Li, 2003-2008 760Li, 2007-2008 Alpina B7, and 2006-2010 M5 and M6 — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list of makes, models, years, and engines.
- Filters the system: Removes moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning refrigerant that flushing cannot clear, which is why replacing the drier is essential during service.
- Desiccant absorption: Uses a desiccant to absorb moisture; a leaking or "open" system can saturate it within hours, so a fresh cartridge is installed whenever the system is serviced.
- Leak-resistant build: Features quality welds for a durable, leak-free design along with high-quality desiccant for appropriate absorption.
- Ready to install: The necessary gaskets, o-rings, and seal are included for the installation.
Replacing the drier is typically required to validate a compressor warranty and any time the A/C system is opened for service.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does this receiver drier do?
It acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C refrigerant. These contaminants cannot be removed by flushing, so replacing the drier during service is essential.
Does the 83057 come with installation hardware?
Yes. It's supplied as a cartridge kit with a plug, and the necessary gaskets, o-rings, and seal are included for the installation.
When should I replace the drier?
Replacement is typically required to validate a compressor warranty and any time the A/C system is opened or serviced, since a saturated desiccant can no longer absorb moisture.
Which vehicles does this fit?
It's a direct-fit replacement for many BMW models, including 525i, 530i, 550i, 745i/745Li, 750i/750Li, 760Li, Alpina B7, M5, and M6. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.
Why does the desiccant matter?
The desiccant absorbs moisture in the system. A leaking or "open" system can saturate the desiccant within a few hours, making the drier ineffective.
