Keep moisture and contaminants out of your air conditioning system with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Desiccant Element 83253, a Filter Drier Desiccant Cartridge Kit that comes with a plug. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2010 Audi Q5, 2007-2015 Audi Q7, and 2004-2010 Volkswagen Touareg — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list of covered applications.
The filter drier acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C system. Because these contaminants cannot be removed by flushing, replacing the drier is essential whenever the system is serviced. Moisture is absorbed by a desiccant bag, and a leaking or "open" system can saturate that bag within a few hours, leaving the unit ineffective.
- Included hardware: necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easy installation, along with a plug.
- Quality construction: built with quality welds for a durable, leak-free design and high-quality desiccant for appropriate moisture absorption.
- Produced to standard: manufactured in an ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 certified facility.
- Compressor warranty: replacement of the filter drier is required to validate compressor warranty and must be done anytime the system is serviced.
