Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Desiccant Element P/N:83286
Keep the air conditioning system dry and clean with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Desiccant Element 83285, a direct-fit replacement for the 2014-2018 Acura MDX. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details.
This receiver drier acts as a filter, pulling moisture and contaminants out of the A/C system — debris that simply flushing the lines cannot remove, which is why replacing the drier is essential during service. Absorption happens through an internal desiccant bag; a leaking or open system can saturate that bag within hours and leave the drier ineffective.
Replacing the drier is required to validate the compressor warranty and it should be replaced any time the A/C system is opened for service. Backed by Four Seasons' decades of mobile A/C experience.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
What does the receiver drier / desiccant element do?
It acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C system. An internal desiccant bag absorbs moisture that flushing the lines cannot clear.
Does this fit my vehicle?
It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2014-2018 Acura MDX. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm the application for your specific vehicle.
What's included?
It ships as a desiccant bag kit with a plug, and includes the necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal for installation.
When should the drier be replaced?
It should be replaced any time the A/C system is opened for service, and replacement is required to validate the compressor warranty.
Can a saturated desiccant bag affect performance?
Yes. A leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, which makes the drier ineffective at absorbing moisture.
