Help draw moisture and contaminants out of your air conditioning system with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Desiccant Element, part number 83286, a filter drier desiccant bag kit supplied with a plug. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra, 2016 Kia Sorento and 2012-2013 Kia Soul. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
- Desiccant bag kit with plug: supplies a replacement filter drier desiccant bag together with a plug.
- Moisture absorption: the desiccant bag absorbs moisture in the A/C system, while the filter drier removes contaminants from it.
- Why flushing is not enough: according to Four Seasons, these contaminants cannot be removed by flushing, so replacing the filter drier is essential.
- Saturation risk: a leaking or "open" system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, which leaves the filter drier ineffective.
- Service requirement: Four Seasons calls for replacing the accumulator / filter drier any time the system is serviced, and requires it to validate the compressor warranty.
Four Seasons backs its A/C components with more than 50 years of mobile air conditioning experience. The desiccant element may need replacing whenever the A/C system is serviced, or if the system has been leaking or left open long enough for the desiccant to become saturated. This kit is a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications.
