Keep the air conditioning circuit clean and dry with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Desiccant Element 83196, a filter drier desiccant cartridge kit that installs as a direct-fit replacement on the 2009-2017 Volkswagen CC, 2006-2010 Volkswagen Passat, and 2009-2012 Volkswagen Passat CC (see the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine-level details). It acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C system — contaminants that cannot be removed by flushing, which is why replacing the drier is essential whenever the system is opened.

Cartridge kit w/ plug: supplied as a desiccant cartridge kit that includes a plug.
Installation hardware: the necessary gaskets, o-rings, and seal are included for the install.
