Four Seasons Engine Cooling Fan Clutch P/N:36903
Keep your engine cooling fan spinning in step with temperature with the Four Seasons Engine Cooling Fan Clutch (MPN 36901) — a thermal, standard-duty, standard-rotation unit engineered by application for a range of older Chevrolet, GMC, Jeep and AMC trucks and SUVs. This non-electronic clutch uses a temperature-sensitive coupling: as hot air off the radiator warms it, the clutch drives the fan harder to pull more air through the core; as things cool, it lets the fan slip to trim noise and parasitic drag.
It's precision-machined from aluminum in a raw-aluminum finish, with a 4-bolt flange mount (5/16-18 holes) and a maximum clutch diameter of about 5.99 in. As a new (not remanufactured) part designed, tested and built by application, it's rated to meet or exceed OEM specifications for OE-level performance, fit and appearance.
Mounting hardware is not included — consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether they may be reused. Signs this fan clutch may need replacing include engine overheating when the fan won't engage, a continuously loud roaring fan, silicone-fluid seepage, or fan wobble; diagnose the cause before replacing, since overheating can have other sources.

What does this fan clutch do?
It's a thermal coupling between the fan drive and cooling fan. As radiator air heats up it drives the fan harder for more airflow, and lets the fan slip when cool to reduce noise and parasitic drag.
What vehicles does MPN 36901 fit?
Older Chevrolet S10 and S10 Blazer, GMC S15 and S15 Jimmy, several Jeep models (CJ5, CJ7, Scrambler, Cherokee, Comanche, Wagoneer, Wrangler) and the 1988 AMC Eagle. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
Is mounting hardware included?
No. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct fasteners and whether they may be reused.
Is this a new or remanufactured part?
It's a new, non-electronic thermal standard-duty fan clutch, precision-machined from aluminum and rated to meet or exceed OEM specifications.
How do I know the fan clutch may be failing?
Signs may include engine overheating when the fan won't engage, a constant loud roaring fan, silicone-fluid seepage, or fan wobble. Diagnose the cause before replacing, since overheating can have other sources.
