Four Seasons builds its accumulator / filter driers in an ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 certified facility. Replacing the accumulator / filter drier is required to validate compressor warranty and should be done any time the system is serviced.
What does this accumulator / filter drier do?
It acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants from the A/C system using a desiccant bag. Flushing cannot remove these contaminants, so replacing the unit is essential when servicing the system.
Does it come with installation hardware?
Yes. The necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal are included for easy installation.
Do I need to replace it when servicing the A/C system?
Yes. Four Seasons states the accumulator / filter drier is required to validate compressor warranty and must be replaced any time the system is serviced.
Will this fit my vehicle?
It's a direct-fit replacement for 82 listed applications, from 1970s-80s GM cars to 1995-2002 Peterbilt trucks. Check the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm your exact year, make and model.
Why can a desiccant bag become saturated so quickly?
A leaking or "open" A/C system lets in moisture that can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, making the accumulator / filter drier ineffective.
