A/C Accumulator for 2000-2002 Chevrolet Tahoe & More - Four Seasons 83290

Help keep moisture and contaminants out of your air conditioning system with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator 83290, which is designed to filter them from the A/C system. It is a direct-fit replacement for many listed models, among them the 2000-2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2000-2002 GMC Yukon and 2000-2002 GMC Yukon XL. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.

• Filters the system: Removes moisture and contaminants from the air conditioning system. Flushing cannot remove these contaminants, so the accumulator needs to be replaced.
• Desiccant bag: High-quality desiccant absorbs moisture in the system. A leaking or open system can saturate the bag within a few hours, which makes the accumulator ineffective.
• Welded construction: Quality welds give the unit a durable, leak-free design.
• Seals in the box: The necessary gaskets, O-rings and seal are included for easier installation.

Four Seasons produces its accumulator and filter drier units in an ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 certified facility. The company engineers and tests them and brings more than 50 years of mobile A/C experience. Four Seasons states that replacing the accumulator is required to validate compressor warranty. It also states that the accumulator must be replaced any time the A/C system is serviced.

Signs this part may need replacing: the A/C system has been opened for service or a compressor replacement, the system has been left open or has leaked long enough to let moisture in, or there is a refrigerant leak at the accumulator itself. Diagnose the cause of any cooling problem before replacing parts.
