Firm up body control and tame fade with the KYB shock absorber KG4540, a Gas-a-just high-pressure monotube gas shock offered as an OE monotube replacement for the FRONT of your Jaguar. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement on many vehicles, among them the 1973-1979 Jaguar XJ12, the 1976-1995 Jaguar XJS and the 1972-1986 Jaguar XJ6 — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine-level fitment.

  • Twin-chamber monotube design: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas chamber with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving and added performance on demand.
  • Up to 25% more damping: adds up to 25% more damping performance over original equipment shocks, with components and valving designed specifically for the listed Jaguar applications.
  • Fade-free operation: the high-pressure monotube separates the gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response.
  • Triple chrome-plated piston rod: an ultra-smooth, triple chrome-plated rod helps reduce seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure.

The Gas-a-just supplies additional damping over the OE design for vehicles that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels, and its higher gas pressure responds quickly to help improve steering response. It also helps keep Electronic Safety Systems performing as the vehicle manufacturer designed. Sold individually.
