Smooth out your Saab's ride with the KYB Gas-a-just Shock Absorber (KG5558), a high-pressure monotube gas shock that drops in as a direct-fit rear replacement for the 1979-1993 SAAB 900 and 1979-1980 SAAB 99. This KYB shock absorber uses a high-pressure monotube design with components and valving KYB designed specifically for your Saab.

Unlike a traditional twin-tube, the Gas-a-just runs two separate working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that helps provide a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds damping on demand.

• High-pressure monotube: separates gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response, with no fade due to aeration.
• Up to 25% more damping: adds damping over original-equipment shocks, with extra control for vehicles that work, tow, or run larger, heavier tires and wheels.
• Triple chrome-plated piston rod: an ultra-smooth chrome piston rod is designed to reduce seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure.
• Quicker response: the higher gas pressure is designed to improve steering response and helps keep Electronic Safety Systems performing as intended.
