Smooth out a bouncy, worn-out ride and keep your minivan planted with the KYB Gas-a-just Suspension Shock Absorber KG54310, a rear high-pressure monotube gas shock built as a direct-fit replacement for the 1995-2003 Ford Windstar (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level applications). Its components and valving are designed specifically for the Windstar.

• Monotube gas design: Separates the high-pressure nitrogen gas from the oil in two working chambers for fade-free operation and instant response, avoiding the aeration that can plague traditional twin-tube shocks.
• Added damping: Adds up to 25% more damping over original equipment shocks, with extra control for vehicles that work, tow, or run larger, heavier tires and wheels.

Signs a rear shock may need replacing include excessive bounce, nose-dive, body sway, or uneven tire wear. Shocks work as matched pairs, so replacing both sides together is recommended for balanced ride control.
