Description

Firm up load-carrying stability and smooth out the ride with the KYB Gas-a-just Suspension Shock Absorber KG54322, a high-pressure monotube gas shock that installs as a direct-fit rear replacement for the 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota and 1998-2003 Dodge Durango (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment). Its components and valving are designed specifically for Dodge trucks, adding extra damping over the OE design for vehicles that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels.

Monotube gas design: Separates the high-pressure nitrogen gas from the oil for fade-free operation and instant response.
Two working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen area with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving.
Up to 25% more damping: Delivers more damping performance than original-equipment shocks, and the higher gas pressure responds quickly to improve steering response.
Triple chrome-plated piston rod: An ultra-smooth rod helps reduce seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure.
