Firm up rear load and ride control on your work truck with the KYB Gas-a-just shock absorber (KG5443) — a high-pressure monotube gas KYB shock absorber that installs in the rear position of the 1980-1991 Ford F-250, 1980-1997 Ford F-350, 1999-2004 and 2013-2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty, and 1999-2004 and 2013-2016 Ford F-550 Super Duty. Monotube gas design: two separate working chambers — an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen area with a floating piston that separates gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response.
Built for Ford trucks: components and valving designed specifically for Ford trucks, adding up to 25% more damping over OE-design shocks for vehicles that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires & wheels.
Durable piston rod: since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure, an ultra-smooth triple chrome plated piston rod is used to reduce seal wear.
Steering & safety: the higher gas pressure is designed to improve steering response, helping keep Electronic Safety Systems performing as intended.
