Smooth out bumps and help keep the rear tires planted with the Monroe OESpectrum Shock Absorber 39006, a rear suspension monotube shock designed for vehicles originally equipped with monotube shock absorbers. • Monotube design: a free-floating dividing piston separates the fluid from the high-pressure gas charge to reduce shock fade and aeration, while full displaced valving adjusts to road extremes for a smooth ride.
• High-pressure nitrogen gas charge: helps maintain tire-to-road contact and tight damping response for improved ride and handling.
• PTFE-banded piston: provides consistent sealing against the high-strength pressure tube for better control, increased durability and longer service life.
• High-temperature OE all-weather fluid: contains special additives to handle temperature extremes and help reduce oil breakdown for a consistent ride.

A self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces friction against the piston rod to help limit premature wear. Worn rear shocks can show up as a bouncy or floaty ride, poor body control over bumps and dips, or uneven tire wear — if a failed rear shock is the cause, this replaces it.
