The adjusting sleeve is the threaded link between the tie rod ends. Turning it lengthens or shortens the tie rod assembly so the toe setting can be adjusted during a wheel alignment. QuickSteer chassis parts are designed and tested to help restore steering and handling to their original performance.
This part may need replacing if the sleeve is too rusted or seized to turn during an alignment, or if it is visibly bent or damaged. Other possible signs are an off-center steering wheel or uneven tire wear. These symptoms can also have other causes, so inspect the full steering linkage before ordering parts. When a worn sleeve is the cause, replacing it helps restore vehicle handling. Have the toe checked and set with a wheel alignment after installation.
