Front Left Outer Tie Rod End for 1998-1999 Dodge Ram 1500 & More - MOOG ES3497

Help bring back tight, predictable steering with the MOOG ES3497 tie rod end, a front left outer unit that connects at the pitman arm and installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 1998-1999 Dodge Ram 1500, 1998-1999 Dodge Ram 2500 and 1998-1999 Dodge Ram 3500.

Designed for OE fit and function, this steering tie rod end is made of forged alloy steel and is tested by MOOG engineers throughout design and development. If a worn tie rod end is behind loose or vague steering, it is designed to help restore steering and handling to their original performance.

• Patented pressed-in cover plate: seals out debris and minimizes looseness, which helps reduce bearing wear.
• Greaseable socket and premium boot: new lubricant can be added to flush out contaminants and reduce corrosion and wear, while the boot helps keep contaminants out.
• Problem Solver® Gusher bearing: a metal-to-metal design for strength that lets grease flow through the bearing surface for reduced friction. A Belleville preload washer helps keep the bearing package tight as the bearings wear.
• Heat-treated ball stud: heat treated to match or exceed OE requirements, intended to inhibit premature failure and improve fatigue strength. Precision tolerances support easy installation and steering alignment.
