QuickSteer Steering Center Link P/N:DS80593
Replace a worn steering link with the QuickSteer Center Link DS829, designed and tested to help restore steering and handling to their original performance. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1970-1981 Chevrolet Camaro, 1975-1979 Chevrolet Nova and 1980-1981 Pontiac Firebird. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
As a steering center link, this part connects the steering linkage and carries motion from the steering gear side of the system across to the tie rods. QuickSteer designs it for OE fit and function and for easy installation.
Loose or worn chassis parts can lead to premature tire wear. If a worn center link is the cause of wandering steering or excess play, replacing it helps restore vehicle handling. Inspect the whole steering linkage before replacing parts. Engine and trim details for each application are in the Buyer's Guide tab.
What does a center link do?
The center link is part of the steering linkage. It carries motion from the steering gear side of the system across to the tie rods so the steered wheels turn together.
Is the QuickSteer DS829 the right Camaro center link for my car?
The DS829 is listed for the 1970-1981 Chevrolet Camaro. Check the Buyer's Guide tab for engine and trim details before ordering.
Does this center link also fit the Chevrolet Nova or Pontiac Firebird?
Yes. It is listed for the 1975-1979 Chevrolet Nova and the 1980-1981 Pontiac Firebird. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the other vehicles it fits.
Can the DS829 be greased?
Yes. It has a greaseable socket, so fresh lubricant can flush out contaminants, and a powdered metal gusher bearing design that lets grease flow through the bearing.
What are signs a center link may need replacing?
Signs include steering play, wandering, or premature tire wear. Other steering and suspension parts can cause the same symptoms, so inspect the linkage first.
