An integrated dirt-wiper sealing system helps keep dirt and debris out of the shock. Finished in black satin with the Rancho red logo and backed by Rancho's Limited Lifetime Warranty. For extra protection, add shock boot RS1952 or RS1961.
What does the Rancho RS77198 shock do?
It's a rear monotube suspension shock absorber that dampens spring motion to help control ride and handling on- and off-road on the listed trucks.
Does this fit my Silverado or Sierra 1500?
It's a rear direct-fit replacement for the 1999-2025 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500, plus the Classic, LD, LTD and Limited variants and select Dodge Ram trucks. Check the Buyer's Guide tab.
Is this a monotube shock?
Yes. It uses a large 2-in. monotube body with a full-floating dividing piston and high-pressure nitrogen gas to help reduce aeration and shock fade.
What temperature range can it handle?
The all-weather fluid allows for cooler operation and is designed to withstand internal temperatures of -40 to 248°F.
Does it come with a shock boot or extra hardware?
Its application-specific mounting installs with no sleeves or extra hardware needed. A shock boot is not included, but boot RS1952 or RS1961 can be purchased separately.
