Remy Generator P/N:15017

Put charging current back into your vintage car's battery and electrical system with the Remy generator 15017, a remanufactured 12-volt DC unit rated at 25 amps. It is a direct-fit replacement for many listed models, among them the 1967-1970 Ford Cortina with the L4-1.6L engine, the 1962-1970 Austin Healey Sprite and the 1962-1969 Austin Mini Cooper. Remy describes the 15017 as a premium-quality remanufactured generator designed for dependability and reliability. The engine drives the generator, which produces the DC current that recharges the battery and supplies the electrical system while the engine runs. A separate voltage regulator controls its output.

• Electrical rating: 12 volts DC, 25 amps, clockwise (right) rotation.
• Fan and regulator: external fan type. It works with an external voltage regulator rather than one built into the unit.
• Pulley: supplied without a pulley. Transfer or replace the pulley as directed by the service procedure.
• OE manufacturer: Lucas.

Signs a generator may need replacing include a charging warning light that stays on, a battery that keeps running down, or dimming lights. These symptoms can also come from the regulator, wiring or belt, so diagnose the charging system before you replace parts. If the generator is the cause, this unit replaces it.
