On the suction side of the lubrication system, this pickup draws oil from the pan sump and strains out debris and contaminants — from normal engine wear, extended oil-change intervals, and other internal sources — before that oil ever reaches the pump. It's a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of GM V8 applications, including the 1988-1999 Chevrolet C1500 and K1500 [V8-5.7L], 1957-1975 Chevrolet Bel Air, and 1990-1992 Cadillac Brougham [V8-5.7L]. What are the tube dimensions?
The straight tube is 8.500 in (216 mm) long with a 0.750 in (19 mm) inside diameter and a flanged end with 2 mounting holes. The screen adjusts up to 0.250 in (6.35 mm).
What is the screen made of?
The pickup screen is galvanized steel, and the assembly is supplied with a protective coating. It is a Performance-grade unit made in the United States.
