Deliver firm control without a harsh ride with the Monroe Gas-Magnum Front Suspension Shock Absorber 34785. Engineered for hardworking midsize and full-size trucks and vans, it drops in as a direct-fit front shock for the 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota and 1999-2003 Dodge Durango. With up to twice the fluid capacity of standard 1-in. bore shocks, the Gas-Magnum works more efficiently with less effort.

Bigger bore and reserve tube: a larger bore and 2-in. reserve tube hold more oil for greater capacity and a controlled ride.
Full-displaced valving: full-displaced valving on compression cycles is designed to deliver controlled ride and handling for hardworking trucks and vans.
Built to last: heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod (non-dust-shield units only) and sintered iron piston, plus a self-lubricating fluid seal that reduces friction against the piston rod.
Nitrogen gas-charge: helps maintain tire-to-road contact by reducing aeration and shock fade, while OE all-weather fluid handles extreme temperatures for smooth rod reaction.
