Spectra Premium A/C Condenser P/N:7-9080
Give your air conditioning system a fresh way to shed heat with the Spectra Premium ac condenser, part number 7-3061. It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2002-2004 Infiniti I35 and the 2002-2003 Nissan Maxima. See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details.
The condenser is where the A/C system gets rid of the heat it pulls from the cabin. Hot, high-pressure refrigerant from the compressor flows through the condenser's tubes and fins, gives up heat to the outside air, and condenses into a liquid before it continues through the system.
A Nissan Maxima condenser, or the I35's, may need replacing if you notice warm or weak air from the vents, refrigerant leaks or oily residue on the condenser, or bent, clogged or corroded fins. Other A/C components can cause these symptoms too, so have the system diagnosed before you replace parts. Installing a condenser opens the refrigerant circuit. The system must be recovered, evacuated and recharged, so follow the vehicle service information.
What does an A/C condenser do?
It releases heat from the refrigerant coming from the compressor, letting the refrigerant condense into a liquid so the A/C system can continue its cooling cycle.
Will this Nissan Maxima ac condenser fit my vehicle?
Part 7-3061 is listed for the 2002-2003 Nissan Maxima and the 2002-2004 Infiniti I35. Check the Buyer's Guide tab for the engine-level details for your vehicle.
What are signs my A/C condenser may need replacing?
Warm or weak vent air, refrigerant leaks or oily residue on the condenser, and damaged or clogged fins can be signs. Diagnose the system first, since other A/C parts can cause similar symptoms.
How is this Spectra Premium condenser tested?
Spectra Premium puts an emphasis on specialty testing during manufacture. The testing is aimed at leak-free operation and reduced movement and vibration.
Does replacing the condenser require an A/C recharge?
Yes. Replacing the condenser opens the refrigerant circuit, so the system must be recovered, evacuated and recharged. Follow the service information or have a qualified A/C technician do the work.
