Keep your rear liftgate glass rising smoothly and holding open with the Stabilus Back Glass Lift Support 4B-028493. This gas-charged lift support measures 18.27 inches and uses Stabilus Lift-O-Mat dynamic damping to deliver a fluid, controlled opening motion. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2001-2007 Ford Escape, 2001-2007 Mercury Escape, and 2005-2007 Mercury Mariner — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-specific applications.

Dynamic damping speed control: a velocity-manifold groove pressed into the tube wall lets gas flow around the piston for smooth extension with no bouncing or jerking during cycling.
