Stabilus Back Glass Lift Support P/N:4B-419685
Help your back glass open smoothly and stay up with the Stabilus back glass lift support, part number 4B-231392, a direct-fit replacement for the 1999-2004 Nissan Pathfinder and 1998-2003 Infiniti QX4. This gas-charged Lift-O-Mat support uses dynamic speed control and is based on the OE design for proper fit, form and function.
Stabilus builds the damping into the tube itself. A longitudinal groove, called a velocity manifold, is pressed into the tube wall so gas can flow around the piston, and the extension speed and damping are set for this application. The groove gradually narrows toward the end of the stroke and is designed to bring the glass to a gentle, controlled stop.
Specifications: extended length 18.92 in (480.5 mm); compressed length 12.16 in (309 mm); stroke 6.76 in (171.5 mm); maximum force 24 lb; nylon ball-socket fittings on both ends. Country of origin: Mexico.
A worn support may need replacing if the back glass drifts down, won't stay open or feels heavy to lift.
