Keep the tailgate rising smoothly and holding steady with the Stabilus Liftgate Lift Support 4B-258842, a temperature-compensating, gas-charged lift support with dynamic speed control. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2008-2017 Buick Enclave (All engines), which uses two supports per vehicle.

Dynamic damping: a longitudinal velocity-manifold groove pressed into the tube wall lets gas flow around the piston, tuned to give a fluid opening motion for this application.
Controlled stop: the groove narrows toward the end of the stroke for a gentle, controlled stop with no bouncing or jerking during cycling.
Ball-socket ends: End 1 and End 2 are nylon ball-socket connectors; maximum force is 145 lb, with a 21.20 in extended length, 13.23 in compressed length, and 7.97 in stroke.
