This automatic transmission control solenoid is an electrically operated valve. When energized, its internal pintle moves to block or vent fluid pressure within the transmission's hydraulic circuit. Standard Ignition built it around these features:
- Copper winding: 100% copper winding designed for positive valve actuation on command.
- Precision-ground pintle: moves freely to block or vent fluid pressure.
- OE-matched electricals: resistance and inductance matched to OE for proper fit, form and function.
