Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor P/N:MA-307
Keep high-voltage spark reaching every plug on your classic Fiat with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor MA-308. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1971-1977 Fiat 124, the 1970-1973 Fiat 850 and the 1974-1977 Fiat X-1/9. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
The rotor sits on top of the distributor shaft and turns with it. It passes the coil's high voltage to each terminal in the distributor cap in turn, sending it on to the spark plug wires in firing order.
Signs that a distributor rotor may need replacing include misfires, hard starting, rough running, or a burned, worn or carbon-tracked tip found during inspection. If a worn rotor is causing the problem, MA-308 replaces it. The rotor is commonly serviced together with the distributor cap.

Which vehicles does the Standard MA-308 distributor rotor fit?
It is listed for many Fiat models, among them the 1971-1977 Fiat 124, the 1970-1973 Fiat 850 and the 1974-1977 Fiat X-1/9. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
What does a distributor rotor do?
It turns with the distributor shaft and passes the coil's high voltage to each terminal in the distributor cap in turn. This sends spark to the plugs in firing order.
What are the MA-308 rotor's segments made of?
Standard states that its distributor rotors use solid brass segments. They are intended to give better conductivity and a higher-voltage spark to the plugs.
How does this rotor help resist carbon tracking?
It uses a high-grade dielectric strength alkyd that resists dirt sticking to it. This helps reduce carbon tracking for extended service life.
What are signs my distributor rotor may need replacing?
Misfires, hard starting, rough running, or a burned or carbon-tracked tip may be signs of a worn rotor. Other ignition parts can cause similar symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing.
