Standard Ignition Turbocharger Speed Sensor P/N:TBA2
Keep your diesel's boost signal accurate with the Standard Ignition Turbocharger Speed Sensor (TSS2). It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2014-2020 RAM 2500 and 3500, plus the 2017-2018 RAM 4500 and 5500, all equipped with the L6-6.7L engine.
A turbocharger speed sensor monitors the rotational speed of the turbocharger and reports that reading to the engine control module. The ECM uses the signal to help regulate boost pressure and to guard against turbocharger overspeed, so the sensor plays a direct role in how the forced-induction system is managed.
Order the correct quantity for your truck (one per vehicle). Manufacturer part number: TSS2.
What does this turbocharger speed sensor do?
It measures the rotational speed of the turbocharger and reports that reading to the engine control module, which uses it to help regulate boost pressure and guard against turbo overspeed.
Which vehicles does the TSS2 fit?
It is a direct-fit replacement for the 2014-2020 RAM 2500 and 3500, and the 2017-2018 RAM 4500 and 5500, all with the L6-6.7L engine. See the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm your vehicle.
How many sensors do I need?
The listed applications use one sensor per vehicle, so a single TSS2 covers a complete replacement for these trucks.
What are the signs this sensor may be failing?
Boost-related trouble codes, a check engine light, or reduced power / limp mode can indicate a faulty speed signal. Diagnose the cause first, since these symptoms can have other sources.
Will replacing this sensor fix a boost or power complaint?
Only if the original turbocharger speed sensor is the confirmed cause. Boost and power issues can stem from other parts, so diagnose before replacing.
