As the steering tie rod end, it links the tie rod to the steering knuckle and passes steering input to the wheel. Mevotech's Labor Saver designs, tools and hardware are intended to make installation faster and easier.
- Sintered bearings: Patented sintered bearings are designed for longer-lasting performance.
- Locked-on boot: A patented sealing ring permanently locks the boot onto the ball joint housing to help keep contaminants out.
- Larger sphere design: An application-specific ball stud system uses a larger sphere.
- Install and service hardware: A part-specific slotted castle nut, an easy-snap cotter pin and a 180-degree SAE grease fitting are included. Pre-applied nylok thread adhesive helps keep fasteners secure and vibration resistant.
A tie rod end may need replacing if you notice loose or wandering steering, a clunk when turning, or uneven tire wear. If a worn outer tie rod end is the cause, this unit replaces it. Have the wheel alignment checked after installation.
