Four Seasons A/C Accumulator P/N:83274
Help remove moisture and contaminants from your air conditioning system with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator 33176, supplied with a tube kit. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1977-1984 Chevrolet Impala, 1978-1983 Chevrolet Malibu and 1977-1981 Chevrolet Camaro, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
The accumulator works as the A/C system's filter, removing moisture and contaminants that flushing cannot clear. A desiccant bag inside the unit absorbs the moisture. If the system is leaking or left open, that bag can become saturated within a few hours, and the accumulator can then no longer do its job.
Replacing the accumulator is required to validate compressor warranty coverage. The accumulator should also be replaced any time the A/C system is serviced.
