It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, and 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer. This accumulator/filter drier removes moisture and contaminants from the refrigerant that flushing cannot clear, which is why it must be replaced whenever the system is opened or serviced.
