Four Seasons A/C Accumulator P/N:33111
Keep the A/C system dry and free of debris with the Four Seasons A/C Accumulator 83720. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of medium- and heavy-duty International trucks, including the 2006-2008 International 4100 SBA, 2002-2010 International 4200, 2002-2007 International 4300, 2001-2005 International 4700, 2001-2010 International 5500i and 5600i, 2002-2007 International 7300, and the 2003-2010 International 9200i SBA, 9400i SBA and 9900i — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list of 29 applications.
The accumulator/filter drier acts as a filter, removing moisture and contaminants that flushing cannot clear from the system. Its desiccant absorbs moisture; a leaking or "open" system can saturate the desiccant within hours, so a fresh unit is essential whenever the system is serviced.
What does this A/C accumulator do?
It acts as a filter drier, using a desiccant to absorb moisture and removing contaminants that can't be cleared by flushing the air conditioning system.
Does it come with installation hardware?
Yes. Four Seasons includes the necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal for installation.
Should I replace the accumulator whenever I service the A/C?
Yes. Four Seasons notes replacement is required to validate the compressor warranty and should be done anytime the system is serviced, since the desiccant can saturate quickly in an open system.
Will this fit my International truck?
It fits many International models from about 2001-2010, such as the 4200, 4300, 4700, 5500i, 7300 and 9900i. Check the Buyer's Guide tab against your exact year and model.
Why can't I just flush the old accumulator?
Flushing cannot remove the moisture and contaminants trapped in the accumulator/filter drier, so replacing the unit is the correct fix when the system is serviced.
