It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1993 Ford Probe (see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details). Positioned on the low-pressure side, this accumulator / filter drier stores refrigerant and uses a desiccant bag to pull moisture and contaminants out of the air conditioning system — debris that flushing alone can't remove, which is why replacing it during service is essential.
