What does this accumulator do?
It acts as a filter that removes moisture and contaminants from the A/C system, using a desiccant bag to absorb moisture that flushing alone cannot remove.
Are gaskets and o-rings included?
Yes. The unit includes the necessary gaskets, o-rings and seal to help with installation.
Do I need to replace the accumulator when servicing the A/C?
Yes. Four Seasons states it must be replaced any time the system is serviced, and replacement is required to validate the compressor warranty.
Will this fit my vehicle?
It's a direct-fit for many 1994-1995 Chevrolet and GMC C/K trucks and SUVs plus 1997-2002 Kodiak/Topkick models. Check the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
Why can a saturated desiccant bag be a problem?
A leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant bag within a few hours, making the accumulator ineffective at absorbing moisture.
