Quick facts

• Part: VALEO 699357 A/C compressor
• Fits: the 2005-2009 Volkswagen Jetta 4-cylinder 1.9L, the 2006-2016 Jetta 4-cylinder 2.0L, the 2009-2010 Jetta 4-cylinder 1.8L, the 2014-2016 Jetta 4-cylinder 1.8L and other vehicles

Warm air from the vents, a grinding or rattling noise when the A/C comes on, or a clutch that does not engage can mean the compressor is worn. A leaking A/C line or a failed compressor relay can be behind any of them, so rule those out first.
