A leaking discharge hose can show up as an A/C that blows warm air or as oily residue around the hose and its crimped fittings. Those signs can have other causes, so with the engine off and cool, look the hose and fittings over for oil stains, cracks or rubbed spots before you replace it. A shop can leak-test the system.
